Jack has worked in online technologies since the days of Bulletin boards when it took about an hour to download a single A4 page of text. He once arranged a meeting with Telecom Gold (an early department of BT) to prove to them that personal computers could communicate across the Atlantic with their "Big Brothers" - IBM mainframes. One of his partners - Ken was responsible for the software that connected the "Acoustic Coupler" to the PC. Ken had a proverbial "whose who" of Journalists writing about his achievements and breakthroughs. The other partner was Ray - an electronics genius who had cobbled together a fully functional RS232 (serial) interface a few days before.
